Upanup is looking for a full-time Project Manager & Strategist to lead complex web projects from planning through delivery. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and client communication. You will work closely with clients, strategists, designers, and developers to ensure projects stay aligned, organized, and moving forward. This is a permanent, full-time role that will start early May 2026 .

This position is well suited to someone who brings structure to complexity, exercises sound judgment, and communicates clearly with a wide range of decision makers.

Upanup builds and supports websites primarily for municipal governments. Our work helps people access important information and services in their communities, and we take pride in delivering thoughtful, practical solutions in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you will do

• Lead and manage website development and redesign projects from initiation through launch
• Own day-to-day client communication, facilitate meetings, align teams, and maintain progress
• Create and manage project plans, timelines, and task lists to keep work on time and within scope
• Coordinate across internal teams to reach project milestones and resolve dependencies
• Prepare for and lead client meetings, training sessions, demos, and presentations
• Produce clear, purposeful project documentation that supports alignment and decision-making
• Support quality assurance through content review, testing, and minor troubleshooting
• Assist with content porting, review, and creation when needed
• Identify risks, surface trade-offs, and make practical recommendations to keep work progressing

What we’re looking for

• 4–7 years of experience in project management, digital strategy, or a related client-facing role
• Experience working on complex, multi-decision makers projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and organization
• Comfort working with web-based tools and content management systems
• Attention to detail balanced with the ability to prioritize effectively
• A steady, solutions-oriented approach when working with clients

Nice to have:

• Experience working with municipal governments or public-sector organizations
• Experience with website content management systems and project management tools
