About the role

The Opportunity

The Business Partner, Marketing, contributes to connecting people to the safety system in order to improve safety behaviour. The Business Partner, Marketing uses insights gained from our colleagues, partners, clients and the general public to develop and implement a communication strategy through building awareness, extending reach, facilitating participation, fostering trust, and inspiring safety-minded decision-making.

Status: Regular, Full-Time, Union
Number of Positions: 1
Pay Grade: 16 ($46.27 - $53.59 per hour)
Location: Vancouver or open to any of our BC regional offices (hybrid work environment)
Reports to: Leader, Marketing & Communications

As a Business Partner, Marketing, you will:

1. Advertising and Promotional Activities: Leads the planning and implementation of advertising and promotional activities, including:

  • Collaborate with Digital Experience to develop, plan and execute digital campaigns, including SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.
  • Use digital marketing metrics and analysis to initiate and manage digital marketing campaigns.
  • Leads social media strategy, and provides guidance on presence and design across all digital channels
  • Works within our existing CRM and tech stack to make improvements in delivery and impact.
  • Develops strategies around email segmentation, triggers, cadences and health/performance.
  • Increases market participation and connection through data decision making and understanding insights and segmentation.
  • Develop opportunities for strategic storytelling and deliver to the right channels for the appropriate segments.
  • Develop creative briefs to ensure an efficient process of initiating and delivering on campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize user experience.
  • Actively collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
  • Lead collaboration and partnership with external organizations to drive engagement and promotion, including new and existing stakeholders and partners in the safety system.
  • Coordinate assigned departmental projects, liaise with design firm consultants, determine resource requirements, ensure consistent usage of brand standards.
  • Lead critical issue management responses on social media
  • Support hazards/issues management

2. Client Insight: Conducts research into client insights, including*:*

  • Identify trends and recommend optimization based on the insights.
  • Evaluate end-to-end client experience across multiple channels and client touch points.
  • Conduct research, tracks advertising and promotional initiatives, and monitors financial resources.

3. Tradeshows & Events*: Takes an active role in the management of a wide variety of projects, public events and internal merchandising, including:*

  • Manage corporate sponsorship and tradeshow programs.
  • Manage corporate merchandising program.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to coordinate event planning that includes, agenda recommendations, event requirements, script writing and conducts post evaluation for improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience you have:

  • Degree in Marketing or related field with 5-7 years’ experience in digital marketing, leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of website analytics tools, CRM and marketing email platforms, and ad serving tools.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Experience planning and coordinating corporate events.
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Experience with crisis and issue management
  • Ability to engage an audience with creative thinking and writing.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Knowledge of latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Some design and video experience an asset
  • Exercise a high degree of initiative and judgement.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
