As part of a dynamic and agile team, you will mainly support the Events Senior Manager in managing, designing, creating, organizing and holding internal and external events while supporting the actions of the marketing, human resources, recruitment and client experience teams.

Our Montreal office is looking for an Event Manager for an 18-month replacement and help it achieve the local growth targets. The role also comes with various development opportunities.

What You Will Do

  • Plan, oversee and control the full implementation of all internal and external events, from kick-off to post-mortem with all internal stakeholders (design, communication, marketing, etc.).
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers and partners.
  • Responsible for the smooth execution of client and internal events, e.g. conferences, annual training, networking events, golf tournaments, general meeting, employee recognition events.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines, achieving previously established objectives and sound financial management of events;
  • Keep abreast of current trends.
  • Bring new ideas to enhance client/employee experience at our events.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Marketing/communication/event diploma or other combination of degrees considered relevant.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in event production in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and capacity to work with senior internal partners with ease.
  • Strong project management, priority management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in virtual platforms and interactive tools for successful online events.
  • High level of adaptability, planning and organization skills and strong ability to work independently.
  • Ability to act as an operational reference, support decision-making for complex events, and lead multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of autonomy.
  • Must be available to work outside of normal working hours on occasion.
  • Experience within a professional services company
  • Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphics and report automation).
  • Good knowledge of CVent
  • Accustomed to evolving in a demanding corporate environment, fostering rigour and interdepartmental collaboration.

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG. They will need to communicate with colleagues to provide subject matter expertise on a daily basis and support with events management during the regular course of their employment.
