Description We are currently seeking a dependable and professional Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team for day shift operations that combine city pick-up and delivery with shunting responsibilities . This role offers a dynamic workday, ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, work well independently, and are committed to safety and customer service.
This position requires operating trucks equipped with manual transmissions, so a Class 1 License with no restrictions is essential.
What You'll Do
- Perform scheduled pick-ups and deliveries within assigned city routes during the day.
- Safely operate Class 1 vehicles in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Support terminal operations through shunting duties, including trailer movements and yard coordination.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring accuracy and care in handling.
- Complete all required documentation and scanning using handheld devices.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle.
What You'll Need To Drive With Team Armour
- Valid Class 1 License with no restrictions and a clean driver's abstract.
- Proven ability to operate manual transmission trucks, with recent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years driving a tractor-trailer.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with freight handling and scanning equipment is an asset.
