Job Requirements
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator/Child Care Practitioner to join our team. This role involves fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and curriculum development, with experience working with children across various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers. As a key member of our educational team, you will contribute to early learning through innovative lesson planning, behavior management, and supporting children's social and emotional growth.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, numeracy, physical education, and social skills.
Plan and execute engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori methods, standardized testing preparation, and other educational strategies.
Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children.
Support children’s emotional well-being through behavior management techniques and individualized attention.
Facilitate early intervention strategies to support children with special education needs or developmental delays.
Conduct assessments of childhood development milestones and document progress for each child.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns related to child welfare or classroom behavior.
Maintain classroom organization, manage supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Incorporate teaching physical education, literacy education, math activities, and other subjects into daily routines.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with early childhood education best practices.
Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Early Childhood Educator or equivalent credential.
Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings, or similar environments.
Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
Familiarity with curriculum development including Montessori methods and literacy education principles.
Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and standardized testing procedures.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families and team members.
Ability to plan lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental stages.
Experience working with toddlers as well as preschool-aged children is preferred.
Knowledge of child welfare practices and experience in tutoring or teaching physical education is a plus.
