About The Role Orica Digital Solutions is a global technology business specializing in mining and civil infrastructure markets. We are dedicated to developing innovative digital platforms that enhance safety, productivity, and environmental sustainability. We are currently seeking an experienced Mobile App Developer with expertise in .Net MAUI and Flutter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support IoT applications that have tangible impacts on people's safety, the efficiency of large and small businesses, and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience with .Net MAUI 6 or higher, demonstrating a proven track record in building non-gaming mobile applications. Familiarity with REST APIs, software design patterns, and cross-platform development frameworks is essential. A solid understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication, SQLite, and OAuth/OIDC protocols will be advantageous.

Educationally, candidates should hold a college diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geomatics, or a related field. A combination of education and professional experience will also be considered, emphasizing practical skills and project experience over formal qualifications alone.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cross-platform, globally deployed MAUI iOS and Android app designed to configure and operate low-power IoT devices.
• Create and enhance new functionalities within a cross-platform Flutter application, ensuring seamless user experiences across devices.
• Improve the reliability of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communications and networking, especially under poor connectivity conditions, to ensure consistent device performance.
• Implement support for new IoT device models, collaborating with hardware teams to integrate updates and new features.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and escalated customer issues promptly, maintaining high standards of application stability and user satisfaction.

Benefits We offer a hybrid work environment based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $125,000 CAD annually, commensurate with experience.
