Course Number and Name: JDM3619H  Digital Media Distribution   Course Description: The course tackles the opportunities of digital media as new technologies emerge. Students are exposed to new business models, policy development, distribution structures, and intellectual property regimes. Students learn about the value of cross-disciplinary thinking and work towards the development of viable business models.   Class Schedule: Fridays 3-6pm in the Fall term   Months of contract: September to December 2026   Salary: $9,997.48   Estimated Course Enrollment: 25   TA support: none                                                                                        Qualifications: Graduate degree in Music Technology & Digital Media, Music Business, or closely related field. Industry experience in the cultural sector, including knowledge of intellectual property and performing rights considerations. Experience as an artist in music performance, creation, or production.   Duties: Define course objectives and materials; provide clear guidelines on course requirements and regulations; teach classes as scheduled; administer and evaluate student assignments; prepare and submit final grades in accordance with policy.
