About the role

Fort Garry Industries (FGI) has an exciting opportunity for an ERP Support Specialist to join our team at our Corporate Location.

What will you Do…

The ERP Support Specialist will be responsible for providing support for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to other departments within FGI, which includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting, maintaining and training.

  • Respond to ERP-related support tickets, emails, or calls from end-users.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot errors and user workflow issues
  • Escalate complex problems to other members of the IT team
  • Submit and follow up on tickets to EpicCare (Epicor’s support and ticketing system)
  • Guide users in navigating ERP modules like order processing, inventory management, procurement, remanufacturing, service and repair.
  • Assist users with data entry, reporting, and workflow navigation.
  • Create and update user manuals, training guides, and FAQs.
  • Conduct training sessions (via meetings, videos, or documentation) for new employees or system updates
  • Assign and update user roles and permissions to ensure proper access control
  • Assist with user account provisioning/deprovisioning for employees joining or leaving the company
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before new features or updates go live.
  • Conduct functional testing for patches, system enhancements, and integrations.
  • Help document test cases and report any defects found.
  • Stay updated on ERP system updates, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in documenting best practices and process improvement suggestions.
  • Participate in internal training sessions to enhance technical and functional ERP knowledge.
  • Maintains reliable schedule adherence and punctuality
  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for...

  • Post-secondary education in Business Information Systems or a minimum of three (3) years in a comparable ERP support role (required).
  • Strong proficiency with computer systems and standard office software.
  • Knowledge of Epicor Prophet 21 is an asset.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle NetSuite is also an asset.
  • Background in the aftermarket or heavy-duty parts industry is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent customer service skills – Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Strong communication skills – Confident in delivering clear and detailed information to customers and team members.
