Your challenge

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications ;
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welds and fabricated parts ;
• Verify equipment conformity to customer drawings and specifications ;
• Verify the type of materials used for fabrication against code requirements and customer specifications ;
• Verify and approve material test certificates provided by suppliers ;
• Document non-conformities and follow up corrective actions ;
• Write control documents and inspection reports ;
• All other related tasks.

Qualifications required

• DEC in mechanical engineering or other training deemed equivalent ;
• In-depth knowledge of welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, SAW) ;
• Mastery of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and inspection tools ;
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in quality control ;
• Experience in a custom manufacturing plant ;
• Knowledge of Canadian and international standards (CSA, ASME, API, ISO) ;
• Problem-solving and critical analysis skills ;
• Bilingualism - English and French (required to communicate with customer inspectors) ;
• Knowledge of Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
