Job Description
Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties
Mech Eng 3A03 focuses on teaching students about singularity functions, generalized Hooke’s law; shear stress, shear flow in beams; shear center. Biaxial and unsymmetrical bending, analysis of indeterminate beams and frames using energy methods, impact loads. Buckling of compression members. Introduction to yield criteria.
One Lecture & One Tutorial -Virtual
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher, in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Applicants must have a demonstrated background and thorough understanding of the course topics listed above, as well as demonstrated expertise teaching undergraduate courses. Professional Engineering registration is an asset. Strong communication skills and an ability to work with students on a one on one basis are essential.

Pay Transparency Statement
The starting salary will not be less than $17,845.36 per 6 units, or $8,922.68 per 3 units.
- Supplemented Fees- 15.02(a) The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excessofthe base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
