Role Description The QAQC Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC, responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control activities across MEP construction projects. This role involves performing inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and installed systems to confirm compliance with project specifications, codes, and company standards. The QAQC Technician documents findings, prepares reports, and assists in root-cause analysis and corrective actions when deviations are identified. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining quality records, coordinating with project managers and site supervisors, and monitoring adherence to quality management procedures. The technician also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supports audits, and helps ensure that project deliverables meet client and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Quality Control skills to ensure project work meets defined standards and specifications. Candidates should possess solid Quality Management and Analytical Skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and support continuous improvement of processes. Candidates should possess Calibration experience to verify and maintain accuracy of testing and measuring equipment used on site. Candidates should possess knowledge of MEP systems or construction environments, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and relevant codes. Candidates should possess effective communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Relevant technical diploma or certification in engineering technology, quality management, or a related field is preferred; experience in QA/QC within construction or building services is an asset. Familiarity with safety regulations, quality standards, and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, digital reporting tools) is beneficial.
