About the role

UCN acknowledges that we are on the traditional

DUTIES
Reporting to the Manager of Thompson Housing and Facilities, the Residence Clerk will be responsible for providing students and the public

with information regarding residence and housing through phone, email, and in person inquiries. The incumbent will perform general office

duties, assist residents, record and report any violations of residence policies and expectations. This includes ensuring students are aware

of all policies, procedures and guidelines in the UCN Calendar relating to the Residence, and all students and visitors to the Residence are

required to abide by them. Additional duties include registration and discharge of students, maintenance of student files, correspondence,

receptionist, general office duties and planning of social activities for students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Grade 12 Education; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Experience working in an office environment

  • Customer service experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

  • Experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds

  • Ability to work independently

  • Effective problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Effective time management skills

  • Commitment to life-long learning

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Candidates must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada

  • Availability to work evenings and weekend as required

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or willingness to obtain within three (3) months
