Purpose of the job:

The role of the E&M interface engineer will be to define and manage the interfaces with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the system relevant interfaces: interface identification, interface register

  • Define the system interface control documents (ICD), propose the leader of the interface, liaise with subsystems to ensure the production and agreement of the ICD

  • Ensure interface consistency and completeness by reviewing designs and actively participating in requirements management process

  • Manage the detailed interfaces definition

  • identify risks, scope gaps and grey areas and escalate as needed

Educational requirements:

  • University Degree in engineering

  • Licensed with professional engineers of ontario (P.Eng.) or in progress

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in interface engineering
  • Experience in writing interface documents highlighting the technical details of the design
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of the rail construction environment and engineering practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self motivated, detailed oriented ability to learn new techniques in a changing environment are desired.
