Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our mobile banking team, managing the "Channel" portfolio, which focuses on the navigation and user experience design of high-traffic, low-risk mobile banking applications.

• This role combines 70% traditional project management responsibilities with 30% Scrum Master duties, overseeing a squad of up to 25 team members, including backend engineers, frontend developers, quality engineers, business analysts, and product teams.

• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing technical projects, financials, and budgets across multiple initiatives, with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Experience with downstream technical applications and legacy systems is critical to ensuring seamless integration and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management (70%):

• Lead end-to-end project management for the "Channel" portfolio, focusing on mobile banking application navigation and user experience (high-traffic, low-risk pages).

• Develop and execute project plans using a Waterfall-style planning approach with Agile execution methodologies.

• Manage financials and budgets for multiple projects, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.

• Oversee capacity planning across multiple projects, balancing resources and timelines to meet strict release schedules.

• Manage downstream technical integrations, ensuring robust coordination with legacy and backend systems for high-volume transactional flows.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend, frontend, quality engineering, business analysis, and product teams, to deliver cohesive solutions.

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Scrum Master Duties (30%):

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to ensure efficient team collaboration and delivery.

• Support the squad in adopting Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

• Resolve impediments and ensure the team remains focused on sprint goals and deliverables.

Leadership and Stakeholder Management:

• Lead and mentor a squad of up to 25 team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

• Engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, to align project objectives with business priorities.

• Demonstrate excellent soft skills to build trust, manage expectations, and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with a focus on supporting technical projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Financial Management: Proven ability to manage budgets and financials for multiple projects simultaneously.

• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams of up to 20-25 members, including backend engineers, frontend developers, quality engineers, business analysts, and product teams.

• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience managing downstream technical applications, particularly for legacy systems and high-volume transactional flows.

Certifications:

• Oversee the "Channel" portfolio, which supports the navigation and design of mobile banking applications (excluding payments portfolio).

• Manage strict release cycles, requiring meticulous planning and coordination across the squad.

• Ensure seamless integration of downstream technical applications with legacy and backend systems to support high-volume transactional flows.

• Drive capacity planning and resource allocation across multiple projects to meet delivery timelines.
