With manufacturing facilities in Canada and the United States, they support customers across North America by delivering technical expertise, collaborative partnerships, and responsive service that help drive product performance and growth.
Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to manage Ontario (primary) and parts of Quebec. This role plays a key part in expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and driving strategic sales growth within the plastics industry.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven, relationship-focused sales professional who thrives in a consultative B2B environment. The successful candidate will manage a defined territory, develop new business, grow existing accounts, and achieve annual sales and margin targets.
You will work closely with Product Development and Technical Service teams to deliver customer-focused solutions while supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed annual sales volume and margin targets through proactive territory management
- Maintain accurate sales opportunity data to guide Product Development and Technical Service priorities
- Identify and pursue new markets, segments, and customers to support strategic growth
- Reduce dependency on large dominant customers by expanding the overall buying customer base
- Plan key customer meetings 2 to 3 weeks in advance, including professional agendas and desired outcomes
- Develop and execute a territory management plan (call frequency, sales mix, growth objectives)
- Ensure personal sales activities align with broader commercial strategy
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of B2B sales experience in the plastics industry (strongly preferred)
- Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing a defined territory and building strategic customer pipelines
- Leadership experience considered an asset (not required)
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
- Willingness to travel throughout Ontario and parts of Quebec
