Electrical Tech I – Nisku, Alberta
About the role
Dovre Canada Limited is pleased to offer the following opportunity: Electrical Tech I located in Nisku, Alberta Function
- Under strict supervision, performs repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections on down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools, including Directional/ RSS or M/LWD sensors.
- Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude, electronics aptitude, computer skills, assembly and disassembly of tools associated with PSL equipment, or Measure while drilling and/or Logging While Drilling down-hole tools.
- Perform service on various M/LWD downhole tool – Perform daily maintenance equipment check (Break out Machine, overhead crane, forklift, etc.)
- MUST be able to follow process and procedure on all types of tools (checklist, Dozuki, etc.)
- Inventory Management – Service and cleaning of incoming tools
- Participate in multiple client safety Programs
Requirements
- Requires a technical school certificate, or equivalent. An associate degree or higher is preferred.
- Basic electronic service background would be an asset but not require
- Soldering experience would be an asset
- Basic hand tools use (Ex. Chain Tong, Multimeter, power supply, torque wrench, etc)
- Basic computer skill requires
- Basic Microsoft Office experience (Excel, words, TEAMS, Email)
- Attention to Detail is a must
- Work may be repetitive at times & very High demand
- Able to read and understand mechanical and electronic schematic
