##Job Description:
What Kind of Opportunities Will You Have?
As a Sales Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our sales team and enhancing the customer experience. Every day will bring something new:
-**Spot opportunities!**Research, identify, and qualify potential sales prospects within our existing customer base. -**Be hands-on.**Assist the sales team with demos, customer site visits, walk-ins, open houses, and trade shows. -**Make things happen.**Support sales processes, help with paperwork, and prepare quotes for customers. -Be part of the team. Work closely with branch sales reps and step in for coverage when needed. See sales from a variety of perspectives! -Keep learning. Complete the Finning Sales Internship Program and Caterpillar training courses. We are forever learners at Finning. We encourage you to keep learning about all the industries, products, and services we have under our business.
**Area of Focus:**Construction
As the world’s largest Cat dealer, we combine deep industry expertise with one of the most extensive equipment fleets available, ensuring you have access to the right solutions when and where you need them.
From the parts and services that help keep machines moving to the attachments and new equipment, our construction sales team is ready to provide solutions individual to the project at hand.
Who Do We Think Will Be Successful at Finning?
We are looking for someone eager, driven, curious, and excited to learn. You will shine in this role if you have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid organizational and time‑management abilities.
- A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems.
- A strong work ethic, some work experience, and confidence (persistence over resistance).
- Previous sales experience (an asset).
- Post‑secondary education in marketing, sales, or a related field (an asset, not a must).
- Industry knowledge or equipment familiarity (bonus points!).
Additional Details:
- A recent driver’s abstract is required.
- Internship beginsMay 2026.
- Permanent, full‑time position.
- Comprehensive benefits and retirement savings options included.
- Monday to Friday, daytime, office-based schedule.
- 1 week in-person Onboarding program in Calgary, AB
- Some out‑of‑town travel may be required.
