Job Responsibilities:
The Transfer Pricing Analyst will work on a variety of assignments, including planning, identifying, and documenting the arm’s length nature of intercompany transactions within Magna’s global divisions, performing functional interviews with company management, industry and company research, transfer pricing planning studies, and financial modeling in support of transfer pricing analyses.
Your Responsibilities
- Apply the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development’s and Internal Revenue Code Section 482 Transfer Pricing Guidelines as they relate to transfer pricing.
- Assist with preparation of Local file and Master file studies on a global basis.
- Assist with collecting and reviewing functions and risks data collections and reconciliations on a worldwide basis.
- Review and analyze various financial information prepared by Operating Group finance personnel to ensure reliability, accuracy and usefulness in supporting transfer prices.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly testing and ensuring that the Operating Groups have applied policies correctly. Assist with intercompany agreement drafting and execution in collaboration with in-house Legal department.
Who we are looking for
- Must possess good time management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Power query or Alteryx.
- Superior analytical / problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in collaboration with a team. Able to handle and maintain confidential information discretely.
Your preferred qualifications
- Honours Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business Administration.
- Strong skills in Microsoft office with high proficiency in Excel Power BI and Power Query.
- One or more years of transfer pricing or comparable experience preferred.
