Contract - November 1, 2025-April 30, 2026

What to expect in the role:

Job overview

The System Administrator will ensure the operational success of the Community Information Exchange platform (CareSuite) by overseeing access controls, workflow management, system auditing and reporting. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community Information Exchange the System Administrator will play a key role in the growth and maintenance of compliance for the CIE.

Primary Duties

This is not an exhaustive list of duties, but meant to give you a sense of what you’ll be doing on a regular basis. Other related duties may be required.

Data Management And Compliance

  • Ensure data collection aligns with all policies and procedures aligned to governance and privacy.
  • Conduct user audits ensuring compliance to policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Policy and Procedure creation/review for CIE Data Management and Privacy Compliance.

Platform Maintenance

  • Manage user accounts (creation/deactivation) aligned with appropriate roles and permissions as defined in CIE policies and procedures.
  • Central reporting on any bugs or system errors to vendor.
  • Identify, with community partners, any platform enhancement opportunities.
  • Create new surveys .XML for system as required and as aligned to policies and procedure of both.

Reporting

  • Create and maintain all dashboards in Power BI
  • Support vendor in creating platform reporting capabilities
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data
  • Commit to continuous Improvement

Hours of work and conditions

  • General work hours are 9:00AM – 5:00PM Monday-Friday, however some flexibility in working evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the program.

Lines of Communications/Accountability

  • Reports to the Senior Manager, Community Information Exchange
  • Works closely with other Managers and Directors.

What you bring to the role:

Qualifications/Experience

  • Diploma in Data Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Familiarity with system administration, database management, or data analytics
  • Experience or coursework with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and user access control
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, interpersonal skills and effective communication skills and proficiency in data management and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent self-awareness and self-regulation skills in high pressure environments.
  • Knowledge of the social services landscape in Calgary, including knowledge of resources and services available to individuals and families in need.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to supporting vulnerable populations.
