Your Role at Manion
The Disability Claims Administrator delivers excellent client focused support to both internal and external clients of Disability/Life Department and ensures claims are registered promptly and accurately, offers support to disability claims examiners, manager and director by managing all department related administrative tasks. This is a remote role in Canada.
What to expect in the first 90 days:
- Dealing with member inquiries and providing resolution
- Registering claims, providing accurate and detailed information to members
- Dealing with members who are sick, injured or with upset/angry clients in a professional manner and escalate, if needed, to claims examiner or manager.
- Creating/Uploading of information into the system
- Sorting of email/mail/fax (claims and medical information)
- Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
What You’ll Do
- Manage all disability department inquiries in a friendly and professional manner. Assist clients with high level of proficiency while providing correct information specific to their group plan
- Register disability claims within 24 hours of receipt and provide, relay and document details with a 95% accuracy rating.
- Administer Evidence of Insurability processes
- Devise solutions to administrative issues, investigate, research and ask the right questions to be able to determine next step or workable
- solution. Escalate questions to claims examiner and manager as necessary
- Update phone calls, request for updated APS, review incoming info and updating MPACS
- Collaborate with the Disability team members and other departments to ensure a great working relationship
What You Bring to the Team
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Health Sciences (ie Kinesiology, Nursing, Psychology) or Business Administration.
- 1-2 years in administrative, health, insurance, disability related

YOUR COMPENSATION
- At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary for this position is $45,000-$50,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only and does not encompass the comprehensive total rewards package that we proudly offer.
