PURCHASING AND LOGISTICS ASSISTANT
MAIN FUNCTIONS
The Address of main workplace is at 1620 rue Préfontaine, Montréal, H1W 2N8, QC possibility of teleworking in hybrid mode
Description of tasks:
- Ensure stock management policy (RM + stationery + PPE);
- Develop and maintain business relations with suppliers;
- Negotiate prices and award contracts for RM, supplies and services with various suppliers;
- Place orders with suppliers following the execution of the purchase contract + place orders for stationery, health & safety, household products, supplies of all kinds for the plant and offices;
- Monitor delivery deadlines, scheduling appointments as needed;
- Ensure stock management of RM inventories at XTL and Deslauriers;
- Update prices monthly and send to Thomas Uhl;
- Approve invoices;
- Manage non-conformities;
- Safety-chain management, tracking updates, bugs and new form creation;
- Research and approve new suppliers, raw materials and services;
- Conduct annual evaluations of RM and service suppliers;
- Maintain the Digital Kosher platform;
- Place packaging orders;
- Analyze monthly ammonia and caustic prices for NAB;
- Place accounting check orders for Baltimore and Hattiesburg with Labar Graphco; and
- Related tasks: annual window cleaning, printer maintenance (kitchen + fermentation).
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required
- Speak French or English
- Experience in Procurment
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Undergraduate university degree in business management, commerce, economy or a related field;
- 6 months of relevant experience
