The location in Coosa Pines, Alabama is seeking talent to fill the position of Prjoject Engineer. This job is full-time and onsite.

Primary Purpose
Provide support for engineering functions utilizing established engineering best practices. Oversee mill capital program including strategic planning, budgeting, and project implementation. Support mill operations and maintenance with engineering services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide engineering services in the support of maintenance work requests, capital, and process modifications.
- Maintain mill engineering standards and policies.
- Support plant health, safety, environmental and quality strategies that ensure protection of employee and company property, safety, health environmental compliance and product quality.
- Oversee and provide engineering expertise to mill-wide Management of Change (MOC) review process.
- Prepare capital appropriation requests for submission as part of the mill strategic capital plan.
- Manage permanent and contract engineering resources in the support of mill maintenance and capital development.
- Oversee proposal and project-specific specifications for the preparation of P&ID’s and the supervision of the installation of the project P&ID database; such as numbering, tagging, graphical symbols, etc. as well as managing project timeline and budget.
- Coordination of training of Operators and Maintenance technicians as needed.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, stored in designated repositories including CMMS systems, and available to relevant stake holders.
Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor of Science Degree, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Engineering project management experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
with three or more years industry experience.

Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software, Lotus Notes and other discipline-specific software applications.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of material balance, process engineering, process controls, plant hydraulics, and process safety management.
