HVAC TECHNICIAN

Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, the HVAC Technician provides HVAC and piping services at a journeyman level to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students and staff across the district. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to installing upgrades, performing services, repairs, and test heating and ventilation systems. Work is performed independently but may receive instructions and guidance from the HVAC Technician A License when performing Class A gas fitting work.
Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent plus a BC or Interprovincial Certificate of Apprenticeship and a BC or Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification on one or more of the following Piping Trades as established by the needs of the department: Plumbing, Steam fitting/Pipefitting, or Refrigeration

Two (2) years’ experience at a Journeyman level in commercial and institutional heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) service work including maintenance, repair and installation of commercial and industrial equipment

Class "B" gas License with electrical endorsement

Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
