The Horticulturalist/Gardener is responsible for the enhancement and quality of the landscaped areas at the ClubLink property. This position offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while being exposed to all facets of gardening.

Responsibilities:

• Aid in the design of new gardens.
• Prune, fertilize, and apply other gardening techniques as required.
• Advise, obtain quotes, and assist in the purchasing of horticultural tools, supplies, and materials.
• Select the appropriate plants for new and existing gardens at the Club.
• Spray plants to control pests and diseases.
• Plant and maintain all gardens to the high standards of ClubLink.
• Create and implement a five-year plan for on-course gardens and native areas.
• Keep accurate records of tasks and duties performed.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge, understanding, and experience working in all areas of garden design and plants.
• Diploma or certificate in horticulture or equivalent considered an asset.
• A self-starter and able to work independently with minimal instructions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Have both excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High regard for the health and safety of self and others.
