About Sidekick
Sidekick is on a mission to make injury relief accessible to everyone. Our award-winning physical therapy tools are trusted by Olympic medalists, pro athletes, and weekend warriors alike, and have been featured in outlets like Men’s Health, Running Magazine, and Ultrarunning Magazine.
We’ve grown rapidly and are now looking for an Ad Creative (Scriptwriter / Storyteller) — officially titled Creative Strategist — to level up our performance ads. You’ll be the brain behind our most memorable campaigns, turning insights and product benefits into scripts, skits, and stories that people can’t scroll past.
What We’re Looking For
We don’t just need another copywriter or designer. We need someone who:
- Thinks in visuals and stories, not just headlines
- Can dream up wild, thumb-stopping ad concepts (think skits, parodies, cultural hooks, mini-films)
- Knows how to turn ideas into scripts and then guide creators, editors, and shoots to bring them to life
- Can balance bold creative ideas with direct-response performance ads that drive conversions on Meta
Main Responsibilities
- Lead Sidekick’s ad creative, from big-swing ideas to production-ready scripts
- Write scripts and storyboards that translate customer insights into scroll-stopping concepts
- Direct and collaborate with creators, editors, and designers — on set and in post-production
- Direct sets during shoots to ensure final ads match the creative vision
- Source and brief creators and influencers for UGC-style content
Success in 6 Months
- You’ve delivered at least 5 breakout ad campaigns that feel fresh, different, and high-performing
- You’ve raised the creative bar, bringing bold ideas and new angles beyond standard problem/solution ads
- Your work is directly fueling customer acquisition and revenue growth
About You
- A portfolio that shows scriptwriting, storytelling, and original ad concepts (not just iterations)
- Understands direct response marketing and can balance performance-driven principles with bold, fresh, and memorable creative that still sells product.
- Proven experience creating performance ads for DTC eCommerce (Meta expertise required)
- Strong visual thinker who can turn strategy into shots, scenes, and scripts
- Confident giving creative direction — comfortable on set, in edits, and with creators
- Excellent communicator with a knack for storytelling and selling ideas
