POSITION OVERVIEW

As a key member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant will play a leadership role in managing the company’s financial operations. This position requires advanced full-cycle accounting experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making. The Senior Accountant will oversee complex reconciliations, mentor accounting staff, lead process improvements, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports

• Oversee general ledger maintenance, complex reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing recommendations to management based on financial analysis

• Support strategic initiatives by preparing financial models and variance analyses

• Manage tax filings, audits, and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors

• Drive process improvements and implement best practices in accounting and financial reporting

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to accounting staff

• Monitor and control expenses, review reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of accounts payable/receivable functions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business growth

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA designation (or in final stages of completion) strongly preferred

• 5+ years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with ERP/accounting systems

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools

• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations

• Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

HOURS OF WORK

Regular work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
