About Us
The Department of Chemistry at Western is dedicated to the discovery, dissemination, and application of chemical knowledge through research, teaching, and public service. We seek to maintain and enhance the stature of our Department as one with the foremost research and teaching programs at the University, and in Canada. We promote diversity through interdisciplinary programs of teaching and research while retaining a focus on excellence in all endeavors. We are dedicated to enhancing our academic leadership in research and teaching throughout the world by fostering concentration in selected areas. This vision is being fulfilled by effective recruiting at all levels from faculty to undergraduate students.
Responsibilities
The Technical Support 1 will be responsible for working with departmental staff to inventory, organize, and move or dispose of departmental stored furniture, equipment, and supplies. The position will be physically demanding. Required safety training (to be provided) will include WHMIS as well as Ergonomics of Material Handling.
Incumbent must be available to work on weekends.

- Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public

- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
