Our exclusive client a global leader in food manufacturing is looking for licensed Millwrights with the right personality and excellent skills to join their team on a permanent basis in East York, ON
Open Shifts: Straight Nights
Qualifications/Requirements:
Valid Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification required. Minimum 5 years of Millwright experience, including at least 2 years within a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing experience preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with electrical aptitude and exposure to industrial electrical systems. Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing DC equipment, processing equipment, conveyors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production machinery. Experience with machine installations, equipment set-up, line changeovers, alignment, fabrication of parts, and machinery repairs. Proven experience performing preventative and predictive maintenance in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency. Experience supporting production line start-ups, equipment adjustments, and continuous improvement initiatives. Comfortable working with CMMS systems, maintenance documentation, and safety procedures. Strong understanding of workplace health & safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and GMP standards within manufacturing environments. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call schedules as required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a proactive and safety-focused mindset.
