General Accountabilities
- Provide identified candidates with the required forms/access for the reliability screening process.
- Establish a unique electronic file for each candidate.
- Ensure appropriate checks are requested, and completeness of file returned, by third party screener.
- Ensure that the candidate has completed all steps requested through third-party portal.
- Ensure that the forms have been completed correctly, and that there are no omissions or gaps in the candidate’s information.
- Manage submission responses from third party and communicate with the third-party provider as required. Track completed results of the various checks to move file to assessment stage of the screening process.
- Identify any apparent security concerns associated with the screening file.
- Develop and deliver workforce screening security programs, as a team member and working independently, and in conjunction with partners, customers, and other department staff. Such activities include corporate workforce screening security strategies, policies, objectives and standards, investigations, workplace violence prevention, security awareness, security skills development, and specialized security services. Maximize prevention of losses to the Company.
- Participate in the development of the department's business plans, forecasts, and spending.
Specific Accountabilities
- Develop and deliver workforce screening security programs, as a team member and working independently, and in conjunction with partners, customers, and other department staff. Such activities include corporate workforce screening security strategies, policies, objectives and standards, investigations, workplace violence prevention, security awareness, security skills development, and specialized security services. Maximize prevention of losses to the Company.
- Participate in the development of the department's business plans, forecasts, and spending.
- Identifying potential threats and potential liabilities. Conduct workforce screening security investigations, training and information and awareness programs.
- Make recommendations to address specific security issues.
- Provide expert advice, guidance, direction and assistance to partners, customers and the security function related to corporate assets, in relation to the interpretations of laws, acts, statutes, etc.
- Keep units informed of changes and their impact and make recommendations to effectively meet requirements and changes.
- Provide advice, guidance and direction regarding security policies, standards, and regulations as they relate to workforce screening standards.
- Collaborate with team members to create and sustain a cooperative and supportive team environment, demonstrating openness and trust to encourage an elevated level of personal responsibility and self-management.
- Work with other department staff to maintain a decentralized Security Services business model. Design, develop, produce, and deliver security training programs as they relate to workforce screening.
- Develop new security processes as they relate to workforce screening, as necessary, for applications unique to critical infrastructure.
