Local Representative

Your main responsibilities

  • Ensures the safe performance of all work in accordance with safety standards and policies to protect the health and welfare of self and others.
  • Delivers a high level of customer service to ensure the best customer experience.
  • Uses period of high concentration and knowledge of elevator systems to maintain and update major elevator components including rails, pits and hoistway equipment, car and counterweight assemblies and machine room equipment. Requires lifting parts weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Manually maintains and updates small elevator components including roller guides, door track and linkages and hall buttons and lanterns.
  • Monitors and analyzes functioning of motion or operation controls to trace circuits, troubleshoot, adjust motion profiles and other related activities to better understand system and component workings.
  • Performs duties of mechanic including scheduling work following the Schindler Service Delivery Model, attending and orally participating in meetings and consulting with property managers and owners as required.
  • Performs preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the Schindler Service Delivery Model including visually inspecting and manually cleaning and lubricating elevator systems and components with non-controlled climate field setting.
  • Available to be on standby and to on a regular basis to attend to after-hours callbacks and emergencies.
