At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly expanding tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

Working at Neo:

The people who thrive at Neo are resourceful, growth-oriented, and driven to win. We hold ourselves to high standards because we’re on a mission that matters: to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. As individuals and as a team, we constantly challenge ourselves and each other to do our best work for our customers. Our commitment to customer success drives everything we do, from building intuitive products to providing exceptional support at every step of their journey. If this resonates with you, keep reading.

We trust, respect, and support each other. This means honest conversations, constructive input, and continuous support. You’ll be surrounded by people who push you to be your best. We primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices. As we evolve rapidly, we’re looking for change-makers who thrive on challenge—people who would rather blaze a trail through uncertainty than follow a well-paved path.

All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options. This ownership mindset is at the heart of everything we do — when Neo grows, we all grow. If you’ve heard that Neo employees work hard, it’s true. We hold ourselves accountable for delivering on our commitments to our customers, partners, and each other. Working at Neo means taking ownership of your work and driving results, knowing that your contributions directly impact the company’s success.

High Performance at Neo We recruit, hire, and build our company culture around these attributes:

  • Teamwork: We trust, respect, encourage, and show up for each other — through good times and hard. We’re on this mission not just for ourselves, but also for the people we work with — and ultimately, for our customers.
  • Ownership: We all have a stake in Neo’s success — so we go out of our way to do what needs to get done. We hold ourselves accountable to deliver on our commitments — to our customers, to our partners, and to our team. When we fall short, we find a way to do better in the future.
  • Professional Integrity: We’re asking millions of Canadians to trust us with their hard-earned money — so we hold ourselves (and each other) to the highest standards of integrity.

What you'll be doing:

As a key partner to our business leaders, you will be the driving force behind our organizational evolution. You will diagnose challenges, architect future-state solutions, and lead the charge in transforming how we operate to achieve world-class performance.

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a strategic advisor and internal consultant to senior leadership. Conduct in-depth analyses of current-state business processes, organizational structures, and operating models to identify critical gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Future-State Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with business units to define a future-state vision that aligns with Neo’s strategic objectives. Strategize how to unlock maximum human potential and operational excellence by leveraging cutting-edge technology, including AI, automation, and best-in-class SaaS tooling.
  • Transformation & Process Optimization: Develop and own the execution of comprehensive action plans to bridge the gap between current and future states. Lead process optimization initiatives from discovery and design through to implementation, ensuring sustainable and scalable change.
  • Organizational Design & Effectiveness: Partner with the business to lead large-scale organizational design and transformation projects. You will not just create org charts, but architect operating systems, role definitions, and communication flows that enable speed, agility, and clear accountability.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of transformation initiatives. Generate and translate data-driven insights from workforce metrics (e.g., productivity, engagement, promotion rates) into compelling business cases and strategic recommendations for the executive team.

Who we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in roles spanning organizational effectiveness, business transformation, strategic HR, or management consulting. Experience from a management consulting background is considered a strong asset.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional transformation projects in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Deep expertise in process mapping, analysis, and optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect organizational and talent initiatives to tangible business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience using data to uncover insights, tell a compelling story, and drive strategic decisions with senior leadership.

What will help you succeed:

  • A strategic and systems-thinking mindset. You don’t just solve the problem in front of you; you diagnose the root cause and redesign the system to prevent it from recurring.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive action at all levels, including with the executive team.
  • A passion for leveraging technology (AI, Automation, SaaS) to solve business problems and enhance human performance.
  • You are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity. You don’t wait to be told what to do; you identify problems, formulate a plan, and take initiative to execute.
  • High proficiency in data analysis and visualization, as well as familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira).

Apply with us:

We believe in equal opportunity and are committed to creating an inclusive climate where everyone can thrive. Customers trust us with their finances, so successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo a security screening, including a criminal records check and a credit check.
