Talent Acquisition Specialist – Hybrid Work Option Available

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent HR graduate or someone with 1–2 years of experience who is eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will help shape the future of our organization by identifying and attracting top talent across our locations. You will be supported by an experienced team while building your skills in full-cycle recruitment.

Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 plus bonus, commensurate with knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Term: 12-month term with the possibility of extension as our team continues to grow.
Location: Saint John, NB or Dartmouth NS (Hybrid – 2 remote days per week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional evenings/weekends for recruitment events**)**

What You’ll Do

You will learn and contribute to the full recruitment lifecycle, including:

  • Supporting the hiring process from job posting through to offer supporting locations across Atlantic Canada with a primary focus in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
  • Building strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Posting jobs, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
  • Representing Steele Auto Group at career fairs and recruitment events.
  • Using our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines.
  • Contributing positively to a team environment focused on continuous learning and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a recent graduate of a recognized HR program or someone with 1–2 years of related experience. More importantly, we are looking for someone who brings initiative, strong teamwork, and a desire to grow with us.

Specifically, you are someone who:

  • Takes initiative and looks for ways to contribute and improve processes.
  • Thrives in a team-oriented environment, we win and grow together!
  • Brings fresh knowledge and ideas to enhance our team’s collective skill set.
  • Enjoys building relationships and speaking with new people.
  • Manages multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and maintains confidentiality.
  • Is comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Holds a valid driver’s license (for occasional travel to events/locations).

Preferred (But Not Required)

  • Exposure to recruitment or HR environments.
  • Interest in or experience within the automotive industry.
  • Bilingual (English/French) or proficiency in another language.
  • Experience with HRIS or ATS systems.
