The Campus Principal is the pro-active leader who maintains administration and education standards to ensure success of a campus. The ideal candidate is an energetic, positive, pro-active person who likes to engage and mentor people. This confident person is highly competitive and enjoys mental challenges involving solving problems and working on large diverse projects. They are a self-starter driven to make the best ideas a reality and appreciate a venturesome work environment. The ideal candidate is able to work well independently and with others. The individual should also excel at connecting with children by providing a balance of kindness and firmness while understanding the importance of providing children with a structured environment that will facilitate their learning.

Detailed Responsibilities:
This individual should have:
Leadership experience and a background in an education setting.

Proven management experience or relevant role for 2 or more years, preferably in the educational sector

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and tasks

Strong organizational and time management skills

Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development

Solid verbal and written skills

Mentoring and relationship building

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent knowledge on MS Office

Active teaching responsibilities as part of the principal role, contributing directly to the learning environment and modeling instructional excellence

Education and Experience:
A degree from a recognized college or university is required. A Bachelor of Education is an asset.

3-5 years of experience managing people would be an asset.

Spirit of Math® Schools is a unique and exclusive after-school math enrichment program that provides challenging and advanced math classes and teaches problem solving, collaboration and critical thinking skills to high performing and gifted students from Kindergarten to grade 11. For more than 30 years, we've taken students from the top of the class, to the top of the world; with more than 10,000 students filling 40+ campuses across Canada, in the USA and in Pakistan. Our unique curriculum focuses on problem-solving strategies, logic and critical thinking to become the global standard of excellence in math education. Since 1992, our students have been consistently placed on national and international mathematics honour rolls and our alumni have obtained scholarships from some of North America's top universities.

The concept of teaching was originally developed by Charles Ledger, a Rene Descartes Foundation Medalist and winner of the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching, along with Co-Founder, Gwen Ledger, Kim Langen, CEO and Co-Founder of Spirit of Math Schools Inc., extended her father's teaching concept from an after-school class in her basement to a full 39 week curriculum for grades Kindergarten to 11. All Spirit of Math teachers are university graduates who complete a comprehensive Fundamentals of Teaching Mathematics Course program and participate in ongoing professional development.
