We are looking for a regular full time - Program Clerk - Specialty Services to join our dynamic Collections Operations West team in Vancouver . In this role you will be responsible to provide ongoing support for specialty services including Apheresis platelets, Plasma for the Donor Services and Clinic Services teams.

  • Assists with the recruitment of Apheresis donors through phone calls and generating flag forms from Whole Blood Donors
  • Responses professionally to and processes inquires from donors via phone call, in person and email with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Schedules appointment bookings and cancellations according to established procedures
  • Prepares the Event Schedule for the subsequent event date with attention detail
  • Creates HLA/HPA Charts for Recipients requiring Platelet Transfusions from matched donors
  • Sets up the donor center and works collaboratively with Clinic Nurses and Clinic Supervisors
  • Records statistical information as required, according to established procedures
  • Enters data into various spreadsheets and for Apheresis machine maintenance

Education, Training and Experience: Grade 12, two years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Ability to type at 45 w.p.m and Advanced Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and in a group while maintaining positive relations with stakeholders
  • Ability to deal with other effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work

Additional information :

Works Monday to Friday - 07:00 to 1500 or 08:00 to 16:00. Rest days: Saturday and Sunday.
