Position: Part-Time Security Guard

Site: LG Electronics - 2 Norelco Dr. (Finch & Hwy 400)

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours OR ESA

Hours: Monday to Friday (2200-0600)

Pay rate: $18.25/hour

Job Description:
Working on assigned shifts, you will provide proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to emergencies in a quick and efficient manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Access control, property patrols, incident reporting, CCTV and fire panel monitoring, emergency response and customer service
  • Maintain workflow to ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and assignments were completed in an accurate and timely manner and forwarded to management
  • Ensuring a safe and effective working environment by the proper use of all equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established health and safety policies and procedures
  • Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Standing, sitting, walking for extended periods of time
  • Greet tenants, clients, and the general public
  • Provide helpful guidance and assistance
  • Direct individuals to required destinations
  • Sustain effective relationships with visitors, tenants, and staff through courteous and respectful relations
  • Access control
  • Periodic foot patrols
  • Enforce rules, policies, regulations as per SOP's.
  • Report all incidents and occurrences to the supervisor and CSM.
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by the client.

Prerequisites & Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid WSIB Approved First Aid and CPR Level C
  • G Class Driving License and Three Year Driving Abstract
  • Excellent written/verbal communication
  • Great customer service skills
  • Previous security experience is an asset
