About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing & Communications Consultant to join our growing team!

If you are a post-secondary graduate: with five or more years of marketing and communications experience, and you are an exemplary writer and editor, with strong project management skills – this could be the role for you! Insurance industry experience is an asset and we’re also looking for a person with a good work ethic who is very personable.

What you’ll do here:

  • Creating captivating communications for internal initiatives and announcements; advertising copy, social media (support), special projects and assignments.
  • Assessing your project needs, then developing and implementing the communication strategies and plans, to manage the execution and measure success. Acting as a trusted advisor to develop strong relationships with internal business partners and colleagues at all levels.

What you bring to the table:

  • Excellent editing, writing and in-person communication skills are a must for this role.
  • An ability to create effective, compelling content that is tailored to specific audiences.
  • Post-secondary education related to marketing, communications or public relations programs.
  • Five+ years of work experience within a corporate marketing and communications department, an agency or a journalism environment.
  • Experience creating strategic communications plans and designing content strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Experience creating editorial calendars and adapting stories across various platforms.
  • High-level proficiency using presentation software applications.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver creative and strategic work on time.
  • Understanding of market research, brand, marketing campaign structure.
  • A good sense of humour is encouraged. Insurance industry experience is a definite plus.
