Senior Credits & Returns Clerk
About the role
Position Type: Full-time
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Reporting to: Credits & Returns Manager
The Senior Credits Clerk is responsible to verify and credit products returned for credit. This position completes paperwork to support the returns in a timely fashion. This position reports to the Credit & Returns Manager and does not have direct reports.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving and verifying products and paperwork returned for credit against customer history
- Inspecting product to determine whether it should be restocked, return to supplier or written off
- Reviewing credit paperwork for product
- Communicating with Sales Representative where paperwork is incomplete
- Preparing paperwork for inventory return, supplier credit or write off
- Preparing product for return to inventory, return to supplier or for write off
- Following up Customer credits for received & pending products
- Performing data entry for credit invoicing and responding to inquiries from Accounting
- Crediting and invoicing verified returns and update manifest
- Ensuring a safe work environment by understanding and following safety procedures and reporting injuries or unsafe acts
- Maintaining professional and product/packaging knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification & Skill Requirements
Education and Experience
- 1 year experience in an office environment
- 1 year experience in warehouse environment
- High School diploma
- Dental background preferred
Key Competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of Word & Excel
- Proficiency in using computer programs for data entry
- Good organizational & administration skills
- Highly motivated team player
- Basic math & recording abilities
- Good eye for detail
POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
This position requires some bending and lifting and will work in both office and warehouse environments.
