About the role

Location: Multimatic Niche Vehicles NA, Newmarket, Ontario, Canada

Position Overview:

Located in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is the exclusive production facility of the Ford Mustang GTD.

MNVNA is seeking a Human Resources Administrator (12-month contract) to handle the daily administrative activities associated with HR functions. The successful candidate will report directly to the HR Manager and work closely with the Production Team to assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee inquiries, and updating/managing HR documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Main contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and other HR related issues
  • Updating and maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Provide support for payroll and benefits administration
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers / Production Managers to understand the hiring needs and roles to be filled
  • Maintain job descriptions, post to career website (Workday)
  • Review resumes, screen applicants, and schedule interviews
  • Promote an internal referral program
  • Work with placement agencies, if needed, to assist with the recruitment process
  • Assist in recruiting events as needed
  • Conduct reference checks when required
  • Manage internal ATS (Workday), utilize the system and be the master user
  • Conduct onboarding/orientation for all new hires, including Health and Safety training
  • Assist with benefit enrollment presentations (Medical/Dental benefits, RRSP)
  • Coordinate internal and external training when required (Kaizen training, First Aid training, Forklift training etc.)
  • Assist with other HR / Administrative duties as needed
  • Any other reasonable requests made by Management

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or relevant degree – preferred
  • Previous Human Resources Administrative experience is preferred
  • Recruiting experience in an automotive / manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Previous experience with Workday is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – approachable demeanor, great listener
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent at multi-tasking
  • Attention to detail is critical
  • Maintaining confidentiality is critical
