Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: On-site customer service. Fast food outlet or concession. Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation . Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Address customers' complaints or concerns. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage. Prepare and submit reports. Establish work schedules. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Food service counter attendants and food preparers. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Team player. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Employment terms options: Evening. Shift. Morning. Day. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
