Food-Beverage Manager - 1 FT
About the role
This position directs the provision of quality, value priced dining to Casino guests, and builds strong relationships internally and externally (Miyo-wîchêtowin), by providing overall management and oversight of the Food & Beverage department.
Directing, planning and analyzing Food & Beverage operations, including the restaurant, kitchen, and gaming floor beverage service (as well as show lounge, sandwich deli and/or Multi-Purpose Room, if applicable). Providing effective management of up to two Coordinators and the Executive Chef, promoting good relationships and ensuring they have the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. Effectively managing all departmental resources, including budgets, equipment, and supplies. Monitoring department operations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and delivery of exceptional guest service. Handling a wide variety of administrative activities. Modeling SIGA’s values, and presenting a positive image of SIGA in the community. Participating in development of SIGA-wide Food & Beverage strategies. Participating in other projects and activities as required, to provide Casino guests with quality, value priced dining, and the exceptional hospitality that SIGA is known for.
Successful completion of a two-year program in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline. Minimum of five years Food & Beverage managerial experience. Experience in budget creation, scheduling, inventory management, POS systems, event management, recipe costing, product knowledge, health & safety, food safety, purchasing, food & beverage legislation, food & drink promotions, safe liquor service, staff leadership, customer service, conflict resolution, proper table service, and mixology.
