Administration Supervisor Acton, ON Permanent Full-Time

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Administration Supervisor supervises the administration team. The Administration Supervisor will provide guidance and support with day-to-day tasks at the distribution center, with the goal of maximizing customer service efficiency. The supervisor is “hands-on,” as the role will be responsible for some daily administrative duties in addition to supervising staff.
The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
Staff
- Supervise and direct the activities of the administrative staff to achieve a high level of efficiency.
- Train and mentor staff, encouraging professional development within the team.
- Conduct annual and ad hoc performance reviews and performance meetings.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to foster a collaborative work environment.
Inventory Counts
- Coordinate and support the annual and ad hoc inventory counts in the Ontario region.
- Proactively investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
Administration
- Ensure efficient processing and approval of credit notes.
- Review supplier claims for accuracy.
- Ensure all payables are coded correctly.
- Ensure that policies and procedures are properly implemented and maintained.
- Manage day-to-day office activities, ensuring all processes are efficient.
- Become the Ontario region subject matter expert for the administration module in JDE.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES·

At least three years of supervisory experience

Understanding of basic accounting principles

Proven experience in administration and management or in a similar position

Professional communication skills with an emphasis on customer service

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Very comfortable with MS Office and able to learn other applications quickly

Knowledge of JD Edwards and QlikView is an asset.

Attention to detail and data accuracy

Ability to work independently
EDUCATION
- A high school diploma is the minimum requirement
- A degree in business administration is preferred
