About the role
John Ross & Sons Ltd. is the largest scrap metal recycling facility in Atlantic Canada and we are committed to exceeding our customer's expectations. We are currently seeking an energetic and safety minded Class 1 - Shunt driver to join our team in Goodwood.
The Shunt Driver will be responsible for operating a shunt truck to deliver and pick up sea containers at various locations within our steel yard. A minimum of 3 years Canadian driving experience is required, along with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organize and load product
- Safely navigate the vehicle
- Ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
- Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to proper manager
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must hold valid Class 1 License
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Minimum 3 years driving experience in Canada
