About the role
Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Naval Combat Operations Specialist to join our Technical Training team. The specialist is an operational role primarily responsible for providing naval operations support to training products and services across domestic and international programs. The specialist will operate within multiple program disciplines providing advice and support in the area of naval operations to assist in the development of customer products. The specialist will report to the Training Technical Operations Associate Manager and will execute individual and team technical work across multiple programs. The specialist will work alongside key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that program delivered products and solutions meets the high standards and specific needs of our naval customers. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of naval operations, be proactive, energetic, creative and flexible in meeting our Customers’ needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide naval operations support to the analysis, design and delivery of training products and services
- Support internal and external stakeholders in the planning and preparation of training events
- Establishing a detailed understanding with regards to Naval Combat Operator training, courses and standards
- Conducting training delivery as a Naval Combat Operations instructor or eLearning facilitator, including lectures, presentations, demonstrations, practical hands-on leadership, assignments and evaluations
- Recommend realistic operational scenarios to increase customer training effectiveness
- Support LMC program success by providing advice to software development, business development, systems engineering and requirement testing
- Support a growth mindset, seek opportunities for future development, mentorship and experience as aligned to team, program and business priorities
What you bring to the role
- Experience and familiarity with Naval Combat Operations focusing on CMS 330, Anti Air Warfare, Anti Surface Warfare and Under Water Warfare domains
- Recent experience or a demonstrated capacity to develop training material and instruct in a classroom environment
- Broad understanding of naval training establishments
- Broad understanding of naval warfare occupations
- Experience with needs analysis, course scheduling, training materials authoring and training conduct
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Additional skills desired for the role
- Familiarity with Agile concepts
- Familiarity in Jira, Confluence and other industry tools
- Experience with Military trainers and synthetic training solutions considered an asset
- It is considered an asset to have experience as an instructor at a Naval Fleet School coupled with an understanding of the challenges associated with Naval Force Generation needs.
- Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to embrace change

- Bilingualism

Salary Range
$113,500 - $149,000
