KBE Engineer - PSP
Job Summary:
Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for a KBE Engineer - PSP. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
KBE Engineer - Knowledge Based Engineer (KBE).
Responsibilities include:
- Creating CAD (Catia/NX) parametric math models for BIW upperbody components/subassemblies using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques.
- Position requires extensive knowledge of Teamcenter and NX modeling and an extensive background developing, packaging, and releasing BIW components and subassemblies.
- Additional responsibilities managing internal and external suppliers, supporting pre-production and launch activities at vehicle assembly plants (US, Mexico, CA), creating and maintaining CBOM and quadris, benchmarking, and other responsibilities as required for the role/program.
Basics:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent bachelor’s degree with experience.
- 2+ Years of CAD modeling with Siemens NX.
- 2+ Years of Robust Modeling with Siemens NX.
- 2+ Years of Parametric CAD Modeling with Siemens NX.
- 2+ Years of Body in White (Automotive) Engineering Experience.
- Strong English Speaking skills, including technical language.
- Strong Engineering Design Project Presentation skills required.
- Remote Work with ability to travel to supplier/Stellantis sites as required.
- Proof of Covid Vaccination will be required.
- In-plant body shop experience.
- Vehicle launch experience.
- Sheet metal (BIW upperbody/underbody or closures) design and release experience (KBE trained).
- No driving of a vechicle required.
- Some travelling might be required. 20% travel to vehicle assembly plants (US, MX, or CAN depending on the program) and occasional travel to Auburn Hills, MI.
Preferred:
- 5+ Years of Body in White and/or Closures CAD Engineering experience.
- 5+ years of body experience.
- 5+ Years of CAD Parametric Modeling with Seimens NX.
