What you will do
We’re looking for a Mine Operations Supervisor to lead safe, efficient, and compliant operations at our Windermere and Kootenay West sites. This role oversees the Rock Handling Plant (RHP), shipment logistics, and maintenance of equipment, while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Supervise mining, plant, and rail load-out operations.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Manage production schedules, quality control, and stock levels.

Oversee maintenance programs for equipment and facilities.

Train, coach, and schedule employees and contractors.

Monitor performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Is this job for you?
What makes you stand out from the crowd?

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Mining Technology, or related field.

1–3 years of experience in mineral extraction or processing.

Proven leadership and people management skills.

Strong understanding of quarry safety and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).

Benefits in joining us
Certain provinces require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates, the base pay for this position ranges from 95 000$ to 115 000$ per year. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to education, experience, skills and qualifications as they relate to the role. Fully qualified and experienced candidates will typically align near the midpoint. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
