About the role
Responsible for supporting the finance team in enhancing the quality of financial reporting and maintaining an adequate system of accounting records. · Reconcile various balance sheet accounts frequently to enhance the quality of financial reporting· Assist with financial reporting by preparing various schedules to track detailed financial information· Coordinate work performed by an outsourced team· Support the annual audit process ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS a. Reconcile balance sheet accounts · Reconcile bank accounts weekly· Reconcile inter-company accounts weekly· Reconcile premium financing company accounts weekly
b. Reporting · Update various balance sheet schedules including fixed asset schedule, Accrual schedule, Prepaid schedule· Undertake special projects relating to streamlining finance processes· Update process and control documentation relating to financial reporting· Audit financial processes to highlight deficiencies c. Coordinate with outsourced service provider · Coordinate with outsourced service providers to:· Follow up, obtain, and send missing insurer statements · Follow up, obtain, and send Financing company statements· Review work performed by the outsourced team
d. Provide audit support · Provide support for the annual financial audit· Coordinate activities around the annual audit · Gather and manage documentation to support the audit· Maintain audit files and related documentation KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS 1. Significant balance sheet accounts reconciled every month 2. Completion of special projects on time 3. No material errors in the work performed by the outsourced service provider4. Audited financial statement drafts available by Mar 31 CMB TEAM SUPPORT · Be familiar with and follow company policies and procedures as established (Employee Handbook, Finance policies and procedures, etc.). · Attend and participate in staff meetings and company functions. · Carry a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
