About the role
We are currently looking for candidates that would like to be kept in mind for a position like this when it opens!
Interaction Designers shape the experiences we create across all our digital products. Operating within an agile environment and an iterative process, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders to analyze, design, and convey a powerful design vision.
As a natural problem solver, communicator, and facilitator, you will be deeply involved in every step of the product lifecycle—from initial idea generation straight through to final implementation.
What You Will Do
Interaction Design Strategy
Drive Comprehension: Leverage user interface patterns and behaviors to enhance user comprehension and optimize task performance. Visualize Data: Use innovative visualizations and interactions to support analytical thinking within large, complex data sets. Lead & Facilitate: Champion design critiques, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and facilitate collaborative ideation sessions or workshops. Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the interaction design subject-matter expert (SME) for the product design team, providing expert guidance to cross-functional partners.
Interaction Artifact Creation
Informed Design: Apply a deep understanding of interaction design theory, research data, and industry best practices to back up design decisions. Complex Mapping: Design high-complexity artifacts to clearly communicate task flows, touchpoints, behaviors, and information exchange. Prototyping & Wireframing: Create everything from low-fidelity sketches to highly complex, interactive prototypes to explore, validate, and specify designs for development. Stakeholder Management: Confidently present interaction design concepts and strategies to senior leadership.
Research, Testing & Auditing
User Validation: Initiate and participate in user research activities, and facilitate usability testing to validate design directions. Market Analysis: Research interaction design strategies within the financial services sector and perform competitive audits aligned with specific business goals. System Audits: Perform comprehensive pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits to maintain product ecosystem health.
What’s in it for You
Inclusive Culture: Join a supportive environment where designers feel valued, included, and heard, while working alongside industry-leading peers. Massive Scale: Design solutions used by millions of people daily, contributing to an organization that genuinely values customer experience and remains a global digital leader. Purpose-Driven Work: Work with a forward-thinking team pushing the boundaries of digital product design to actively improve the lives of our clients and communities.
What You Need to Succeed
Must-Have Qualifications
Education: BA/BS degree in Design (Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, Product, Industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms. Research Integration: Proven experience in an applied research setting, with a track record of successfully integrating user insights into final product designs. Strategic Communication: Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, with the ability to clearly weigh benefits against risks. Tooling: Mastery of modern design, prototyping, and research tools (e.g., Figma, Mural, UserTesting.com).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
An MA/MS degree or specialized certification in a related design or HCI field. A sophisticated understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of various research methods, knowing exactly when and how to apply them throughout the product lifecycle. A strong appreciation for and mastery of Design Thinking methodologies. Prior experience navigating large enterprise organizations within an Agile framework.
