We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our team of Resource Professionals. We are looking for a full-time Forestry Project Lead who is motivated, positive, and dependable. The position will be based out of Terrace, BC.
DUTIES
The Project Lead will be part of the Capital Projects team, and will participate in the NCTL project. This is an exciting opportunity to support the expansion of the CRGL/DWB office in Terrace. This role offers a combination of field and office work, and its responsibilities will generally include:
- Leading the field crew in data collection and various field duties
- Supporting the project managers on several phases of projects execution
- Coordinating between project managers and team members, sub-contractors and consultants
- Ensuring work meets the established standards for quality control and for safety.
- Preparing reports and professional assessments
- Supporting on various tasks as required
- Taking ownership of field engineering, and ensuring due diligence is completed on all data provided to the Project Manager
Following the completion of support for the NCTL Project, the successful candidate will have opportunities to support the Capital Projects team as a Project Lead, servicing other BC Hydro projects, or other Clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of project management / coordination experience in the forestry sector
- RPF or RFT designation is required, FIT nearing registration will also be considered
- Strong Professional communication and organizational skills
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driving License; experience driving 4x4 trucks and ATVs
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors; willing to work in diverse and demanding conditions
