About the role
💡 Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can take ownership and make things happen?
We’re looking for a Manual QA Tester to join a growing health-tech organization as their dedicated QA resource. In this role, you’ll work closely with developers, internal teams, and external clients to ensure every release meets the highest quality standards.
You’ll have full ownership of the QA process - from designing test plans to executing and documenting results - and the autonomy to proactively identify issues and improvements before anyone asks. This is a great opportunity for someone with a startup mindset who enjoys taking initiative, solving problems independently, and driving continuous improvement.
💻 Who You Are
You’re a methodical and analytical QA professional who takes pride in finding issues before they reach production. You’re proactive, adaptable, and thrive in environments where not everything is perfectly defined - you bring structure, ownership, and follow-through wherever you go.
📍 Work Type:
- Fully Onsite – 5 days a week in office
- Location: Vaughan, ON
- Vacancy Type: This is a newly created position

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure smooth releases.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using issue tracking and test management tools.
- Collaborate with developers, internal stakeholders, and clients to clarify requirements and validate fixes.
- Verify production issues, perform root cause validation, and support post-release testing.
- Maintain testing documentation and continuously improve QA processes and efficiency.
- Communicate clearly and proactively about test results, risks, and coverage.
⭐ What We’re Looking For (Our Wishlist)
- 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA Tester in a software development environment.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management practices.
- Proficiency with various bug-tracking and test management tools.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Experience testing across web and desktop environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level) by ISTQB or equivalent certification (CSTE or CSQA) would be an asset
Nice to Have:
- Experience with API testing (Postman, Swagger).
- Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress) or CI/CD pipelines would be an asset.
🔥 What Makes This Role Exciting
- Ownership - Take full accountability for QA delivery across multiple projects.
- Impact - Be the final gatekeeper of product quality before releases.
