The Outlet Attendant manages customer orders and food preparation, maintains food and beverage areas, handles transactions, ensures supplies and equipment are ready, and upholds a safe and clean work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Team

  • Willingness to accept the most effective role.
  • Maintain serving area cleanliness and organization, including spill removal and receipt filing.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by upholding food quality and service standards.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, reporting repairs as needed.
  • Uphold a safe, secure, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food-handling and safety regulations.
  • Continuously update job knowledge through training and procedure review.
  • Take initiative to improve operations and add value through proactive problem-solving.
  • Close with an open mentality.
  • Keep all areas in like-new condition and website ready.

Guest

  • Ensure guests are greeted and acknowledged consistently, adhering to the 10/5 Rule.
  • Process customer orders by recording details and computing bills.
  • Cook food items according to specifications and guest requests.
  • Complete orders by selecting items from stations or storage and placing them on trays or takeout bags; serve hot and cold beverages.
  • Keep supplies ready by inventorying and replenishing serving areas.
  • Maintain food and beverage readiness by notifying kitchen staff of shortages or special orders.
  • Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner.

Financial

  • Protecting company assets by adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Collect revenue by presenting bills to customers and receiving payment.
  • Maintain high security of all monies following cash handling procedures.

Qualifications & Traits

  • Thrive under pressure; handle escalations and time-critical issues effectively while remaining productive and solution-focused.
  • Dedicate to exceeding quality standards by providing products and services of the highest caliber.
  • Understand sanitation-related issues thoroughly; take all necessary precautions to ensure a clean food preparation environment.
  • Perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting readily to changing priorities.
  • Must be Smart Serve certified if age 18 or older.
  • Food Safe certification is an asset.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of walking, standing, sitting, crawling, bending, twisting, reaching up to and including above shoulder level, crouching/squatting, and kneeling, for the duration of your shift.
  • Capable of climbing multiple flights of stairs. Dexterity of the fingers and hands with ability to squeeze hands, twist and rotate wrists and elbows.
  • Ability to do weight bearing tasks with arms, ex. lifting/using heavy pans, baking sheets, food pans etc.
  • Ability to work for extended periods in varying temperature ranges.
  • Ability to work in coolers or freezers for short periods of time.
  • Ability to do repetitive tasks for an extended period of time.
  • Visual acuity to see colour, near vision ability, tactile, smell and tasting abilities.
  • Capable of working in a loud environment.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to lift 15lbs overhead.

Additional Requirements

Newly hired Pack Members must submit a completed police clearance to Human Resources. Employment may begin before the results are received, based on the Pack Member’s confirmation that they have no unpardoned criminal convictions. If the clearance reveals a conviction, the employer may terminate employment on a case-by-case basis, providing only the minimum notice required under the Employment Standards Act, 2000, with no additional notice or compensation.
